THE BEGINNING

How Addiction Starts

72,000 people have died from drug overdoses, 49,000 of those affected by opioids. This was in the United States alone and in just one year.
Over 27 million people across the world abuse opioids.  Opioid addictions do not discriminate against race, social class, or age; they can victimize any life.

Many opioid addictions begin with a surgery or even an injury. Patients are prescribed painkillers and are warned about the dangerous effects that the drugs can have after just one week.  Despite these precautions, it is very difficult to stop doing something that makes your body feel better especially following a taxing surgery.

There are typically two paths that clients addicted to opioids can take: seek out therapy and addiction treatment centers, or attempt to buy street drugs such as heroin which can cause them to relapse or receive a drug laced with a more dangerous substance.

OUR HOPE

Crisis to a Cure was founded with one purpose - to persevere in "finding a cure" to this crisis until there are no more deaths by opioids.

The two paths discussed above differ greatly. Our hope is to guide those suffering from opioid addictions on the path to health and safety so they can improve their lifestyle while also making the world a better and more positive place to live.
